 1. GROUP TRAINING PROGRAMME

We are highly invested in the training of its teams, providing development opportunities for employees to increase their skills, knowledge, and experiences. This programme includes a variety of training courses which take place throughout the year, including areas in management, health and safety, customer service, team building, negotiating skills, and mental health awareness.

2. DEVELOPING THE YOUNG WORKFORCE

We are continuously investing in developing the young workforce. More than 150 apprentices have completed their courses with the Group over the previous two decades. The Scottish Vocational Qualifications on offer include management, business and administration, driving, warehousing and engineering. We believe our programmes engage our employees and inspire them to continuously improve performance by using their own skills and abilities to their fullest with support from our training partners.

3. IN-HOUSE DRIVER CPC TRAINING

Over the last 10 years we have been carrying out in-house driver CPC training. The training team create JAUPT approved courses designed to be specific to operational requirements, meet statutory obligations, and be able to provide a duty of care to both Group employees and other road users. The courses are tailored specifically to suit the drivers and the situations they may face in day-to-day activities. Using well respected, experienced internal trainers means the staff can feel comfortable, and with a maximum of 12 participants in each course, there is a manageable engagement level in the small teams.

4. PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

Each individual employee has a personal development programme with their reporting manager where previous objectives are reviewed, new objectives are set, and training and development needs are identified to assist in progression
