Class 1 Drivers

John G Russell is a leading provider in the rail freight industry, dedicated to delivering efficient and reliable transportation solutions. We are seeking skilled and motivated Class 1 Drivers to join our dynamic team at our Coatbridge site.

About the role:

• Collect and deliver to various customer sites across Scotland as required.
• A safety-first approach to working practices at all times.
• Direct interaction with key customers on a daily basis.

Full training will be provided in all activities before these are undertaken independently.

Skills / Qualifications

• C+E driving licence essential
• Valid and in date DCPC
• ADR qualification preferred however not essential
• Must be professional, polite, friendly, and approachable
• Ability to work as a team member and under their own initiative
• Good geographical knowledge of the UK

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, with various start and finish times.
• Primarily dayshift, with the requirement to work nightshift when required.
• Weekend availability
• minimum of 45 hours per week
• Rate of £14.31 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Central Belt Scotland: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

• C+E Driving Licence (required)
