Road Transport

The Russell Group operate a fleet of over 250 vehicles ranging from 3.5 tonne rigids through 7.5, 18 & 26 tonne rigids to 44 tonne articulated units. The rigid fleet offer tail lifts thus allowing full flexibility at customer delivery points.

The range of over 500 trailers from intermodal skeletal trailers to purpose built double deck trailers offer up to fifty two pallets capacity. The Russell fleet also consists of 1,000 intermodal containers - from standard containers through to 13.6 metre palletwide refrigerated capable of carrying 26 pallets or roll cages.

The Russell Group operate from a strategic network of depots with the fleet of articulated vehicles servicing the intermodal deliveries direct from Russell rail connected sites.

Russell has an integrated road trucking network servicing the whole of the UK from full loads to single cases. We work in partnership with other family businesses specialising in FMCG distribution providing UK wide coverage.
